La Clandestine was born in the small village of Couvet in the Val-de-Travers region of Switzerland in the first half of the 20th century and there are many important milestones associated with it.

In 2001, at home in Couvet, Claude-Alain Bugnon starts making moonshine, initially known as Clandestine La Bleue (or CLB as some like to call it) for limited distribution. This became La Clandestine Blanche.

La Clandestine is hand-crafted in Couvet, Switzerland, the birthplace of absinthe. The brand heritage dates back to 1935, and its small-batch production methods go back to the origins of absinthe in the 18th century.

Hand-crafted in Couvet with green tinting coming solely from the maceration of natural plants. La Clandestine Verte stands out for high-quality ingredients and complex flavour profile.

For lovers of strong emotions. An absinthe reminiscent of pre-ban Swiss blanches. The higher alcohol content concentrates the essential oils of the botanicals, allowing the aromas to develop and remain for longer whilst tasting.

La Clandestine Crème d'Absinthe
The first absinthe liqueur made with fresh Swiss egg yolks and leveraging award-wining La Clandestine Blanche. The delicate notes of vanilla and white chocolate complemented by the flavour of absinthe provide for a unique and uncomplicated style.

Based on the La Clandestine Blanche recipe and aged in new oak barrels for a minimum of 6 years. 1935 blends the flavours of a classic absinthe with those of a good cognac. Produced in extremely limited quantities, the few experts and absintheurs who have tasted it have heaped the rare style with praise
